I ordered an item from an eBay seller, who is selling from Canada, on September 22, 2008, and paid for said item through PayPal at the time of the order. A few days later, the seller was no longer listed as a registered user, and the item was listed as invalid. When I emailed the seller, she assured me that my order was okay and that the item had already shipped. That was on September 25. I emailed the seller again a few days later and asked for a tracking number, which I feel I should have received at the time of purchase, anyway. She claimed that since my package was small parcels, there was no tracking. I've never heard of this, and here it is, 12 days later, and I still haven't received my item. I have no way to track the item, since there's no tracking number, and since she was offline for a few days, I have no way to leave any kind of feedback, negative or positive. Funnily enough, the item is no longer listed on her site, even though there were allegedly 3 of them left. I guess my question is, do I have a legitimate claim, or am I just being impatient?Katie W: The package is definitely insured. When I paid for the item, I received an email from the seller that stated that a required $1 insurance charge would be part of my total.

"Small parcels" don't make a difference: what does is how they were shipped. If she sent them by regular postal service, no insurance, no proof of delivery, then yes, there would be no tracking. Practically nobody ships things from eBay that way, though, since there's no accountability: the seller can claim it's been shipped, even if not; or the buyer can claim they never recieved it, even if they did. If it was indeed shipped, but went across country borders, it is possible it was delayed in Customs. You would have no way to know, without tracking.12 days to ship anywhere, unless a difficult/long/obscure delivery, seems fairly long. I would email the seller again; if you aren't satisfied with their answer, then wait a few more days just in case, then contact eBay and/or PayPal.<edit> Innnnnteresting. I didn't think there was any way to insure something untracked... after all, what company would want to pay for something they couldn't prove wasn't delivered? I would ask how she (supposedly) shipped it, tell her that you haven't recieved it, note that you were required to pay for insurance, and perhaps she should get started on the claim....

Email the seller again and ask what happened. Go into your ebay inbox and contact costumer service. Ask for her telephone number. Contact costumer service at paypal and do the same thing. If it is over ten days I think you can start looking at filing it as unreceived. Try these things first. I bought from someone in the US. No tracking, even though I paid extra for UPS and tracking. It was aggravating. She took my money quick and left me hanging for shipping. I even had arranged the details of shipping before hand. Once the money was paid my emails were not even answered that quickly. I waited over two weeks to finally receive it.
